I just had a great idea for an opening of a movie script. Suppose a guy had a forbidden love affair. One day day he finds a very special stone in his mailbox, on which in pencil “Let Go”. He’s devastated, but he does. he let’s go. Months later he picks up the stone and notices he oversaw the first part of the writing. It actually says “Don’t let go”.

Things are starting to look better in JobTown, as I’m considering my first serious vacancy in about half a year. It’s got real multimedia, growing potential and a solid management vision. The words of Concentra-guru Ivan still echo in my head as I write this; he claimed jobs in multimedia never lastlonger than a couple of years. As long as my pay keeps going up, I guess that’s fine with me.

Let’s see: what else is new? The weather changed, I almost died and oh: I bought a new CD by Daan.

I’d been saying I wanted to join the brussels rollers in their 2-hour tour around the capital for a while. The start was fun though crouded, a nice mixture of families and experts.

Untill we hit the tunnels. Apparently they warned the folks in front that non-experts could take the bus. I was not up front. So I rolled into the tunnel which went down, as they all do, to go up about a kilometer after. Any idea what speed you get on new asphalt going down? I’m guessing 45. On In-line skates. I honestly thought I was gonna die.

The first CD-store I tried didn’t have the Shrek II soundtrack anymore. The second one didn’t have it yet. The third one was closing up, at 17:55. Only firm pleading and my assurance I knew EXACTLY what I wanted moved the guy at the door.

So basically I had a hard time paying too much (21,50 euro) for a phisical disc I don’t need (iPod) with no means to preview what I bought. Music stores better open their eyes and adjust their business model, or many will fall as the iTunes Music store and its sibblings will be widespread.

It might be small, but I just made my very first relational database! Don’t give me that look, there’s no chance I’m turning into a network-freak chewing protocols for breakfast. I’m looking for an efficient way to manage my site’s projects. We’re talking about roughly 300 files here, Filemaker Pro just might be a little more convenient than doing it all in Notepad.

Tropical Polé-Polé festical has come and gone. If it weren’t for collegue Christophe’s free tickets (gracias), I would never have mingled with the legions of alternative folk wandering the festival grounds.

How naïve had I been to think a festival is all about music! Shops, eateries and drinks. 7 Euro for a small paper plate of Indian delicacies: that’s nothing! How do students manage to visit multiple festivals per summer, with entrance fees start at 25? No wonder they’re all dealing on street corners.

Holy cow, I managed to limit my buying new clothes to a mere 90 euros, even with flashy star-shaped posters shouting 50off! and 70off. Loyal to my latest fascination, I got some orange and a red pirate-trousers, to got with the new red shirt. Bring on the color!

My tennis years in mind, I could not believe how regulary I bowled yesterday. See I played like Xavier malisse: very irregulary (he’s slightly better though).

I’m throwing 97-99-94; Christine manages to score 64-72-134. What’s happening to me? Will I soon be calm the whole day and manage to manage my temper? Well bowled little dragon.
