Singers as moviestars, nothing new under the sun. Most have a career shorter than a shooting star is visible. J-Lo, Brittney. But some names on posters are just too weird. Check out the trailer for The House Of Wax

Things that start with a bang, end with a bang. If it’s true for friendships and relations, it must be true for the universe.
A new wireless network popped up in my living room today. It’s protected, so I can’t log onto it. All I know, is that it’s called “iBook”. Could this be my new neighbor, the one on the right? Christ, these modern time. I don’t even know his name, but I know he uses a Mac laptop to connect to the internet wirelessly. Note to myself: say hello. Be friendly. Perhaps he’ll grant me access.
Ah, the fun in observing the world as a scientist, extracting system algorithms from a massive amount of action-reactions. Take the aerodynamics of a seagull, or the signature-impulse of the cashiers at Match Supermarket. Upon withdrawing extra cash while paying ATM in said supermarket, you sometimes get to sign the ticket. “So you confirm you got the cash“, one lady explained me. Yet the next time, she kept the bill. “So we got proof you got the cash“. Later, the lady signed the bill and gave it to me. “So we confirm you got the money“. And you never saw it coming, I even saw one sign the note and keep it. So she knew she’d handed out the green. What system can the scientist in me reconstruct from these observations? That the manager said something about “extra cash” and “signature”. Fascinating. I need more data to exclude mutations.
Looking for a new place, big one this time. Goodbye to the days of as little as 290 per month, hello to the days of parties and being able to offer people a seat not in a corner in which they’ll surely bump their head as they get up. What sucks are all the poor places, and the knowledge I’ll have to smile for 10 minutes at the guy who came all the way through the rain for me. “OK, that was nice, I’m seeing a lot of places, I’ll get back to you if I like this one best“. Not.
