I guess it’ll keep on feeling weird, no mater how long I work at the BDC in Brussels. Mixed toilets. Men and woman sharing toilets. No! Not literally! Thank God there’s still separate minirooms to avoid such indecency!

Men seem to mind less than women. Some ladies enter, unaware of the strange concept, gaze at MEN washing their hand while admiring themselves in the mirror. They will turn ’round and inspect the sign on the door. They will feel brutalized when forced to fix lipstick next to the opposite sex. Female poo must look very different from ours.

I just saw a very good Othello in De Singel. I remember a performance I saw in Brussels ages ago, that was very “tormented intellectual leader” in stark contrast with tonights pop-culture hero of the people. Why don’t I see more plays? Because there’s no daily shows at seven and digital copies :-)

I’m not certain you celebrate easter or not, she mails me from a country far away. Girl: I do celebrate Easter, the traditional Christian way. I get a day off, stuff myself with chocolate and hear the radio news quoting Ratzinger ‘thanks all for flowers’.

Our very own Cardinal Daneels was worried about the brutal killing of a guy in Brussels Central Station, Over an MP3. This is serious matter, so I’ll refrain from joking that these muggers ran off with 104 MP3′s in a plastic bag, I’m sure he ment iPod. And if they do kill over an iPod, I’m in trouble passing by that station with a laptop, gsm, iPod, gameboy and digital camera every day.

Opposite me on the subway, a young girl watching a stroller. As the rushed me by to check on the baby, her fragrance reminded me of old mysterious candy stores. As I searched for words to ask for its name, the doors opened to a station. A terrible stinch filled the wagon, cabbage of some sort. How was I to ask under these conditions? Would she presume I loved her cabbage-smell? I got off the next station, damning that cabbage.
