Don’t you love the way dirty wipes or tissues dry? They get stiff the way they were laying, like ghosts that froze in mid-air. I arrived at the office kitchen this morning and arranged the frozen ghosts in the sink, as if an artist had created plaster statues during the night.

I’m off to sign a new contract at Duvall Guillaume E in Brussels, after 2 years of Multimedia for Instruxion. I’m glad the 2 best things about my former employer (a Senseo coffee machine and a laptop), will be present at DGE, along with cool colleagues, a very nice building, and challenging projects.

I must say I’ve never been on any team-building more fun than this weekend. Freyas company sure knows how to keep their staff (and partners) happy. I won’t go into detail describing seaside dunes, horse-riding or mountainbiking at Port Zélande, as they’re company secrets. And more importantly because pictures will be online soon.

I’m not sure what gave me more goosebumps last night: the unique sound of Dez Mona, or visiting the atelier of Martin uit den Bogaard at the same location. The bands lead singer Gregory Frateur would spin a melody so high and fragile around the wandering double bass it was scary. From the artists workshop behind came the scent of coconuts, to cover up the smell of his organic art. Martin visualises chemical and electrical changes in a dead body, as his homepage explains, thus creating living statues. His computer-drawing depicting the electrical currency produced by a decaying human finger are shocking to say the least, yet makes you think about mortality.
